There are no set prerequisites, however delegates are expected to have at least 3 months experience within a project type role.

Delegates are not required to carry out any significant pre-course preparation as our blend of learning methods provides comprehensive preparation for both examinations which are taken during the course.

5 days. Lecture and workshops.

This course is intensive and delegates are advised to undertake some revision work in the evenings to prepare for the examinations.

Course Objectives

MSP® (Managing Successful Programmes) is a framework for managing change and delivering organizational benefits from a set of related projects. It is regarded as best practice in the UK and is used by government departments, local authorities, charities and commercial organizations to coordinate and direct projects of all kinds, regardless of scope, timescale or budget.

The course fee includes a copy of the latest edition of the official MSP® guide and all examination fees.

Our MSP® courses are far more than just exam crammers and our trainers go out of their way to make sure that delegates are able to use MSP® in the real world. At the same time, we offer an exam promise for both the Foundation and Practitioner. Should you fail to pass then you can resit the course once again for free, paying only your exam costs and a £10 per day contribution to your lunches and refreshments.

This course will enable delegates to:

  • Understand the benefits and principles underlying a structured approach to programme management.
  • Recognise the processes required during change programmes which enable organisations to realise business benefits.
  • Apply the main MSP® Principles, Governance Themes and Transformational Flow to a realistic programme case study.
  • Prepare for and take the MSP® Foundation and Practitioner examinations.

A realistic case study scenario is used extensively throughout the course to allow delegates to consolidate their knowledge of MSP® through hands on, syndicate work. Extensive use is also made of past papers to prepare delegates for the exams.
