Audience
This course is for computer personnel who are going to manage and provide technical support to VME systems. Programmers, operators or networking staff who plan and maintain the VME service may benefit from this course.
Prerequisites
Before attending this course you should:
- Attend GW1: VME Groundworks Part 1, or equivalent, and have at least six months experience using this knowledge.
- Attend one of the following SCL courses, or have equivalent experience:
Having attended GW2: VME Groundworks Part 2 would be beneficial but is not required.

5 days. Hands on.
Course Objectives
This course is designed to give you the professional ability to handle technical support on a VME system. You will be given skills and sufficient knowledge to manage the system and provide a service to users. This will involve planning and maintaining the system. The course is classroom based, with each student having a terminal with access to a VME system.
