Audience

This course is designed for those who have little or no experience with Linux and who are seeking a fundamental understanding of the Ubuntu 20.04 Administration operating system. 

Prerequisites

This course is designed for students without previous Linux experience. Basic computer skills on any operating system is required.

Course Objectives

This course helps administrators new the Ubuntu or Debian based Linux systems quickly become skilled in
the core tasks involved in managing Open Source Linux solutions. The focus is on the Command Line and
does not cover working with the Desktop or Desktop Application.

Managing local users and groups.
Creating and managing Linux filesystems.
Monitoring processes in Linux.
Controlling Systemd services.
Securing SSH connections.
Analyzing log files.
Configure IP Networking with netplan.
Managing software on Debian based systems.
Sharing files via the SAMBA server.
Sharing files with NFSv3.
OpenLDAP Server with 389-ds.
BASH Scripting.
