Audience
This course is for experienced support staff and users who have hands on experience with a UNIX based system, or who have used another type of system and have attended suitable pre-training.
Prerequisites
Delegates should have a good basic understanding of UNIX, preferably gained through our UNIX & Linux Essentials course, and ideally some practical experience in the workplace.
Duration
4 days. Hands on.
This course is available on site only. Please call for details.
Course Objectives
The course is highly interactive and consists of theory lectures interspersed with plenty of hands on practical content.
It will provide attendees with the self-sufficiency and confidence to manage, and provide first line support for, an IRIX based system. It will enable delegates to cope satisfactorily with the day-to-day running of a multi-user IRIX site and provide support to users and other administration personnel (e.g., DBAs).
This course will also provide a firm base on which more advanced system administration techniques can be based.
