Day One
Get to grips with the essentials in no time
• Explore, adjust and personalise InDesign's interface to suit your work
• Learn speed tips, shortcuts and good practice
• Open existing InDesign documents and understand everything you see and how to edit it
• Create InDesign documents of any size and any number of pages optimised for print, web or mobile devices
Manipulate text and typography
• Import text from Word and RTF files, or even type it in directly
• Master InDesign's powerful typographical controls for styling text
• Create your own custom type styles, use them in any document and update them instantly
• Edit text like a pro with multilingual spell-check, Find/Change, Story Editor and other advanced features
• Flow text around pictures and other shapes
Integrate pictures freely into layouts
• Import photos and graphics from a variety of file formats
• Scale, fit, crop and transform images directly on the page
• Update, replace and embed images, and find lost graphics
• Keep track of image 'resolution' to ensure top quality results

Take full control of complex layouts
