Prerequisites
Before taking this course, attendees should have the following skills:
- A basic understanding of the z/OS operating system
- The ability to move around in ISPF dialogs
- Basic JCL

Course Objectives
This 3 day course will take students through the installation methods for installing IBM Workload Scheduler. This will include all configuration steps that occur while the product is enabled after the SMP/E process has been completed. Pre installation options will be explained and any changes that may be required (dependent on customer requirements). We will run through the EQQJOBS dialog to prepare your jobs for installation, and the data gathering required prior to this step being run. We will also cover the options available and any customisation that may be required after the product has been installed. This will include looking at the parameters and supplied exits used for customisation and tuning of the IWS install, including parameters required by the IWS agents.

Tuning options and exits (part 1).
Day 3
Tuning options and exits (part 2) – WLM integration.
The IWS controller and Tracker.
Configuration options required for agent communication.
Reporting on your IWS environment.
Exercises some installation jobs, WLM Integration, reporting etc.
Troubleshooting overview.
