This course is for system administrators who are involved in evaluating the features of z/OS and for those who are installing z/OS. |
| PREREQUISITES: |
An understanding of the z/OS operating system is required. This may be gained from our z/OS for Beginners course. |
| OBJECTIVES: |
z/OS is now a mature operating system. New releases appear every year and installations need to make decisions as to whether to install the current release and what features to exploit. This course highlights the functions of z/OS which have been added since Release 1.4. (For details of features in the earlier releases then attend course ZOSE z/OS Migration and Exploitation.)
This course currently covers Releases 1.5, 1.6, 1.7 and 1.8. The detailed contents of this course may change to match IBM’s future announcements. |
