Visual Basic 6 Advanced Techniques




AUDIENCE:   Experienced Visual Basic programmers wishing to use Visual Basic 6 to develop Object Oriented business applications which access ODBC compliant relational databases.

PREREQUISITES:   Knowledge of Microsoft Windows is assumed. Previous experience with Visual Basic programming or attending our Visual Basic 6 Programming course is required.

DURATION:   5 days. Hands on.

OBJECTIVES:   This course concentrates on the Object Oriented and Database access elements of the Visual Basic 6 environment. Course lectures will describe how to use the Visual Basic language to create structured, Object Oriented, event-driven, Visual Basic applications that access ODBC compliant relational databases. It will also detail how to debug the programs, handle run-time errors and optimise performance. A series of hands-on workshops using Access, SQL Server or Oracle will create working VB applications, providing students with both confidence and experience of object oriented design, coding and debugging techniques.
