Solaris System Administration - Part 2




AUDIENCE:   This course is for an experienced Solaris System Administrator, or delegates who have recently attended the course Solaris System Administration Part 1 and have had the opportunity to consolidate the information gained from this course.

PREREQUISITES:   Attendees should have a good basic understanding of Solaris System Administration, gained through the Solaris System Administration Part 1 course, and at least three months practical experience.

DURATION:   2 days. Hands on

OBJECTIVES:   To provide attendees with the additional knowledge required to manage systems using virtual file systems such as Disksuite and Solaris Volume Manager, manage core dumps, configure NIS, NFS, autofs, RBAC and perform installs across the network.

The course is highly interactive and consists of theory with plenty of hands on practical content. A dedicated server will be used so that the more complex commands and administration utilities can be practised in the security of a classroom environment. It is suitable for Solaris Versions 8, 9 or 10.
