Oracle 10G Overview




AUDIENCE:   The course has been designed for management, business analysts, system architects and others who need a high level overview of how an Oracle 10G based Client/Server system is constructed.

PREREQUISITES:   IT professionals who have some familiarity with the base operating system on which the database is mounted (e.g. UNIX, Linux, Windows XP/2000 etc). No previous experience with Oracle is expected or required.

DURATION:   2 days. Hands on.

OBJECTIVES:   On completion of the course delegates will be able to:
- Describe the principal features of an Oracle 10G based system.
- Describe the principal building blocks of an Oracle 10G system.
- Comfortably use the terminology associated with an Oracle 10G based system.
- Understand the main issues associated with constructing a Client/Server system based on an Oracle 10G RDBMS.
