CICS 3.1 Differences




AUDIENCE:   This course is for Systems and Applications Programmers who need to understand the new functions and practical changes to CICS as introduced into Version 3 Release 1. The course covers the changes introduced in all of the releases of Version 2 as well as Version 3. Project managers and Systems Designers working with CICS will also benefit.

PREREQUISITES:   A good knowledge of CICS functionality is required prior to attending.

DURATION:   3 days. Hands on.

OBJECTIVES:   After taking this course, students will:
- Understand the new functionality of CICS 3.1.
- Appreciate the new and changed System Initialisation Parameters.
- Recognise the changes to Messages and other external aspects of CICS.
- Know and use the new and changed supplied transactions.
- Appreciate the changes to Resource Definition.
- Be aware of the changes to the various programming Interfaces.
